First official Monroe Lug Meeting held
4 new folks attended bringing the total to eight. Discussion of historic computing, hacker public radio, voip, and other such topics ensued.

The Ubuntu LoCo team are hard at work preparing for their booths at the Monroe Hamfest.

Another Linux group has been brought to my attention. Central Louisiana Lug in the Alexadria area. We are really covering the state.
Big Lug Meeting in North LA
The group of folks that are looking to start a Monroe LUG are going to be making the short trip to Ruston on Monday (3/30/08) to attend the TLUG meeting. Meetings are on the second floor of Netkin at 6:30.
We will be discussing the upcoming Hamfest in Monroe as well as giving presentations on Asterisk and Irssi via Screen.
Maybe some Geocaching will happen after the meeting.

With some recent discussion in several Linux groups in the area, that had no idea that the others existed, we came upon the idea of a website to unite all groups.
